   For whatever reason AI isn't so great at C or Makefiles. I noticed that terse languages work better, probably because it's easier to textually derive meaning from code than from declarative magic shit

     @segfault it's kind of mindblowing but Claude was way better at handling GBA programming in Zig than C despite basically all code for GBA programming it must have consumed being in C and almost none in Zig.

     @sun probably because billions lines more of autogenerated code exist that kill off any humanity left in the model, no one's training on minified JS, but i bet you a ton of ./configured makefiles are wrung through the process

     I also found out you can create a file .cursorrules that tells it important context about the project, which may help.
