    @icedquinn @silverpill @sun be it xml or json or bencode or whatever other way to serialize the data on the wire, the network can't agree on what to serialize and how to interpret the deserialized data, IRI's and triples don't solve anything here when anything can be anything and there's no interface defined

    @sun @SuperDicq @sicp so far it looks like those clients worked by pump.io not working, pleroma could support plenty more things if it didn't bother validating half of mastodon and dropping the rest

    a room being a collection of ugc objects could be fun, but no one on this network wants sync, so it's hard to make it work, AP makes for a really shitty RPC protocol too
