I just had a great idea for a fundraiser! Imagine the react bar as it currently is, but you have one spot that you auction off each month. And the winner gets to choose any react for that spot for the month. Or maybe we do like a raffle. Or maybe highest donor each month gets to choose. I don’t know. But I think it’d be fun. -

Some are kept locally but others are stored in the database. However, I'm not sure which one it pulls from. Different browsers (in this case, phone versus desktop) give different results for "frequently used", so it's probably browser based. :02shrug: -

Unfortunately only the standard emotes can be in the main menu. But any custom emotes can be used as reactions through the secondary menu(three dots). And Matty is great about adding emotes people request. -

So, clearing your cache worked? Truth be told I liked the older style better, however, each emoji in the quick picker is another request to the server, which gets rate limited. Not only that, but some browsers literally cannot handle rendering that many emojis at once. I had no idea about that until someone told me just today. So, I edited the code to allow the quick picker to have 8 rather than 6 and then repositioned it so it works better on larger/smaller viewports. I imagine as time goes on and cache clears itself, this will work better. I think I have it set to three days. Is it a change? Yeah it definitely is, but I think people will find things perform better and that's the goal. -

Yeah I still like the old version better. The cache clearing thing sort of works but it still wants to put a couple weird emojis in my react bar that I don't want there, but I'm going to try spamming the ones I want to replace them until I get it into the bar lol. -

The way I see it is if NCD originally had the reaction setup you have now and people were accustomed to it, then they'd complain if you changed it to the old style just the same. After I cleared my cookies and started with a fresh list I was able to get it looking just how I want it and it's fine and takes up less space on the screen now. 🤷🏻♂️ -
