     @anemone @nik almost everyone uses the same wrapper toolkit/service for their wallet integration because doing it by hand is impossible. It's a disgusting monoculture and single point of failure. It requires an API key to a single company. Even then, it doesn't work right all the time.

     @sun@shitposter.world @nik@misskey.bubbletea.dev Here's a QR code, but it's not actually readable by your normal camera app, it's a special QR code so you have to manually go into your wallet app and find the WalletConnect option somewhere and then it opens a web page on your phone that you can find an option to scan a qr code which will then finally connect and maybe work

     @anemone @nik yeah and as I mentioned, one of the devs was posting about it on farcaster and there were numerous replies begging them to fix the qr code because scanning it wasn't working.
     
     sure are glad you made your login dependent on this giant pile of shit instead of just popping up the wallet signature modal!

WalletConnect only works because there's an option to fallback to the "Official WalletConnect Modal" which provides a real QR code (still doesn't contain a real url so you have to navigate to their stupid page manually but it technically works once you figure out what page to open (this is not explained anywhere))
