Ive been cycling for a few years now have been giving myself challenges over that time. I'm looking for suggestions for my next one. Must be in Scotland. Be between 150 and 200 miles and will preferably have a train station near the end point. Any ideas?

(Coloured by it being the last place I lived on a coast before departing for the middle of the continent.)

Mrs Cloudy (cloudymrs@mastodon.scot)'s status on Saturday, 15-Jun-2024 17:46:47 JST Mrs Cloudy @JackTheCat there's a bit of A9 just south of Inverness, I think. Could avoid it by starting in Nairn, though 🤔

Mrs Cloudy (cloudymrs@mastodon.scot)'s status on Saturday, 15-Jun-2024 18:07:56 JST Mrs Cloudy @JackTheCat have you done the Dava Way from Forres to Grantown on Spey? I tried cycling it last year but gave up after three punctures and a thunder storm. I might give it another bash. 😅

Mrs Cloudy (cloudymrs@mastodon.scot)'s status on Saturday, 15-Jun-2024 19:22:30 JST Mrs Cloudy @Wen @twobiscuits I try and avoid the NC500 at all times. Not just the holidays. No idea why folk are so thrilled to sit in convoys that all stop in the same places. I reccomend the route from Inverness, through Dingwall and then over the Struie Road to Bonar Bridge, up through Lairg and then right through the middle of the Flow Country.

Paul Oldham 🏴 💛 🇺🇦 🇵🇸 (tallpaul@mastodon.scot)'s status on Sunday, 16-Jun-2024 04:45:17 JST Paul Oldham 🏴 💛 🇺🇦 🇵🇸 @CloudyMrs train to Garve. Cycle to Achnasheen, down the side of Loch Maree to Gairloch, on to Poolewe (stopping for coffee and cake from the caravan), through Camasnagaul (great name eh, and look out for feral goats) to Braemore Junction, and turn right past Loch Glascarnoch back to Garve.
That's a bit over 100 miles so if you want to extend it then turn left at Braemore Junction and pop down to Ullapool and then come back. That'll add another 25 miles or so.
Hope that's far enough?
