  The problem is that he can't discharge the judgment in bankruptcy, because it's an imtentional tort, so after all dischargeable debts are satisfied, they'll give what's left to Jones, and the judgment creditors will execute their judgment against his assets.

  He is busted. His only real hope is to appeal the judgment and to try to at least attack the punitive damages for being excessive. SCOTUS has set a general rule of no more than 10x actual damages. The Plaintiff didn't really have actual damages (he'd have to attack that portion of the judgment too).
  
  I say this because defamation is at base an economic, not emotional, tort. For men, being called a molester could hurt their business opportunities, e.g. people won't hire them, and for women, being called unchaste (classic defamation) interferes with their ability to find a husband who will care for them, i.e. they lose money / property / economic advantage.
  
  No plaintiff here had any real economic injury, and the idea that injury to feelings is a basis for defamation simply isn't what defamation is about.

  I think if really engaged in serious conversation, Europeans will agree that we should have courts.
  
  I would go even further an say that there is a genetic component to parliamentarianism, a court just being a type of parliament, and the if you stick 20 European children on an island at birth, and assuming they'd survive, they'd form a body that looks akin to a parliament, and create processes for adjudging.
  
  And that's the boon, I think we have a natural tendency toward adjudging, because decisions have to be made, but while providing "due process," i.e. notice and and opportunity to be heard, and so the issue isn't that their are courts, but rather the rules under which they operate and who's running them.
  
  And this is really what bothers most of us. We really believe in order, but view the current process as being "political," i.e

  Well the only true (in my opinion) measuring rod I have for truth and reality is the KJV, but obviously the book focuses on the middle east/asia minor and only gives passing references to other cultures and peoples beyond that region. Eveything else is shrouded in mystery and speculation, and trusting written records and oral traditions. Its basically a fog up until the rise of Babylon. Then he went to bunny.cafe, vowed to get banned from 50 sites to prove that he would not bend the knee, then went to annihilation.social and that account went inactive.
  
  I think he figured out that he's unlikely to get banned from there so he got bored and left, Dicey thinks he's mentally ill and has gone out on the ice floe, and that it's tragic if that happened to him but is not tragic if he is responsible for other people drifting off on the ice floe, and has been periodically insisting that we should feel bad, and I cannot.

  I said Dutch was an asshole; I said you were attempting to make everyone feel sad about a hypothetical problem, and asked several times without getting an answer about whether you care about him bothering people with mental illnesses. You brush it off because you do not care about that, but you stubbornly refuse to acknowledge that I'm in exactly that position: *maybe* a guy that I didn't know was an asshole because he was off his meds, and *maybe* he took the easy way out.
  
  If you actually believe that, you'd try to make a wellness check happen. There's surely some equivalent in the Hague unless they've gone full-Euro and installed suicide booths. So there are some admins that have IP addresses and dates and some that have email addresses. If you think he's got a problem, ask around, try to get a response from him over email, check the obituaries, and maybe call up whoever they call up for 5150s there. I don't think you believe it to be the case: you haven't asked me for any of that, but you *are* concerned with whether or not everyone feels bad.

  I didn't see the thread. Now that I have these links, though, I get to do a proof of work and then read "Error: server responded with error." Once I have retried enough times to get through, I start getting 403s before it's even loaded all of the avatars. It is the dumbest goddamn website because the proof-of-work is not going to stop them getting DoS'd and they could just dump 100% of the static content into IPFS. At any rate, eggs are hot; I'll just take your word for it.

Previously, the Social Security Administration published a list of dead people's SSNs annually, so that anyone could download it and, for example, employers could see whether or not an employee was using a dead guy's SSN. They stopped giving public access to it, although it remains available to credit-reporting agencies and state-level government agencies, but that would be a very simple way to check.
  
  As far as marcan goes, the Google document from the anonymous author was put on Twitter about six hours after byuu's last email to KF. The document was two pages long and spends the second half of the first page and the entire second page on a call to action to kill Kiwi Farms. The author claims to have been on the phone with byuu and then spending an hour listening to the song on repeat after hearing him hang himself. It wasn't until 30 minutes into the call that the suicide occurred, and the person on the call had allegedly seen the noose before. I mean, my reaction to listening to my friend commit suicide on the phone would probably not be to write a long document about demanding Cloudflare boot Kiwi Farms, and if I had 30 minutes' notice, I am fairly certain that I would have done something directly or at least called the equivalent of 911 before the suicide. 30 minutes is enough time to stop someone from hanging himself. It looks like the guy actually is dead, but there's something really wrong with the story.
