Well the only true (in my opinion) measuring rod I have for truth and reality is the KJV, but obviously the book focuses on the middle east/asia minor and only gives passing references to other cultures and peoples beyond that region. Eveything else is shrouded in mystery and speculation, and trusting written records and oral traditions. Its basically a fog up until the rise of Babylon. But from Babylon we can atleast get a general idea of the rise and fall of empires until modern times.
