     @shinydan I've done a bit of searching but it's not clear to me! Cobalt-60 has lots of uses but I don't know why they chose this particular configuration with these warnings in 1963

     @annika These should only be made for artistic use IMO, and stored in a clearly marked container. Please, please, please - I really would prefer to never be in this situation, of having to judge a fake danger like that.

     @annika 2/n There were two variants produced. This on the picture is a basic one without the particle acceleration module. Can be active between 70 to 80 years. But the second one with pam was designed to be fully functional a little over three hundred years. If someone takes the second one so in the hand without wearing protective suit, will be dead in a matter of circa 72 hours and dies very painful death. I've also heard about that they have done a prototype of third one, but never saw it.
