     Everyone from outsiders (Milo, PJW, etc.) to failed gamedevs (that roguestar guy, Denis Dyack, etc.) was getting on it for a chance of turning their careers around and getting famous.
     
     The same went on the anti-GG side too. Brianna Wu is a great example, it's well documented that she was inserting herself into it to promote her failed game.

     It's more lax than the Microsoft Xbox store, which is like the Apple App store in terms of censorship. It's just the barrier of entry isn't so high as much as it is undocumented. Nobody gives a shit about doing dev mode on the Xbox unless it's to install RetroArch.
