@HebrideanHecate @stingray I never say cobblers to anything until I do some serious research. And this is why I have basically had to cure myself of issues created by doctors.

@susansiens @HebrideanHecate @stingray It's helminth therapy, because (in theory) humans evolved with lots and lots of parasites in our guts, and now we don't have them (except @Piss_Ant, who gets paid to digest parasites for her uni's biolab)

Human helminth therapy to treat inflammatory disorders- where do we stand?
Parasitic helminths have evolved together with the mammalian immune system over many millennia and as such they have become remarkably efficient modulators in order to promote their own survival. Their ability to alter and/or suppress immune responses ...

@HebrideanHecate @stingray I just read someone saying that those with MS can be cured using an antiparasitic; every patient she has tested who has MS also has parasites. ?????

@susansiens @polarisera @HebrideanHecate @stingray @Piss_Ant My gran used to say that you should eat a peck of dirt before you die, just not all in one sitting.
A few germs are what build our immune system.
But natural immunity has become a dangerous concept to admit to. It certainly doesn't give big pharma the profits it would like.

@susansiens @HebrideanHecate @stingray @Piss_Ant The basis of the original theory is wealthy white people (at the time) developed allergies and reactions at much higher rate than others. Now that other nations have "progressed" to modern standards of hygiene, they too suffer from autoimmune and allergies. What's more, buried in the forbidden history of vaccines, they KNOW that the pampered officers had more adverse reactions to vaccines than the poor enlisted men. Today, we no longer are allowed to admit there are known adverse reactions, but they could and did report and study such things (probably because it hit the officer class).

@polarisera @HebrideanHecate @stingray @Piss_Ant The mania for essentially sterile environments is baffling to me. So many women think disinfecting everything is a good idea, and then they turn around and eat garbage. Just heard that fast-food and casual dining outlets are raking it in.

@polarisera @HebrideanHecate @stingray @Piss_Ant Yes, I read quite a bit about this years ago. We're designed to carry a light load of parasites -- one researcher gave himself worms and another walked barefoot through latrines in Asia -- but not a heavy load so people have always had traditional methods of keeping parasites in check. I never dismiss ideas as ridiculous, but keep looking for more information.
