   Last night I think I had an epiphany.

   My 11 year old dog Dax had developed what we are hoping is just an urinary tract infection yesterday.

   I did not deal with it well. Automatically I felt my body tense up and my heart became heavy in my chest. I became worried. Stressed. And at once I was grateful to have my girlfriend, who I knew would deal with Dax, and

     @That_One_Guy He's at the vet right now. @beingtam tell me that they are going to give him a shot of antibiotics and meds to take home. If it doesn't clear up he will have to have his bladder and kidneys x-rayed.

     And it is indeed never too late.. ?? I’d love to offer some kind of assistance although I have no idea what that should be. Be aware at least that there are those who feel for you and wish you all the strength you need…

     Dax update...

     The vet gave him a shot of antibiotics and other medication to take home. If his issue doesn't clear up, he'll have to go back to have his bladder and kidneys x-rayed. Fortunately he hasn't been showing any signs of pain so they don't think it's a stone or anything like that.

     So time will tell.

     @Mrfunkedude I'm so proud of you, Dude. You recognized something challenging and are going to make the effort to handle it. That's admirable as hell and not easy to do.

     You'll get there. It's something I've had to do as well and cresting that hill is something to very much look forward to.

     @Mrfunkedude I hope Dax is fine. Had a similar incident with one of my oldies. While it's unusual for them to get a UTI compared to bitches (who squat to the ground & can pick them up a lot), sometimes males do. A round of antibiotics & extra opening of the door to go out, and my fella was grand. I hope it's just as easy for you guys.
