Ferris Bueller's Day Off took place 40 years ago today.

Early on, chickadees seem to keep their eggs hidden, which means it’s hard to tell how many there are. Today I got the first clear look— five eggs!

Only immigration courts have the authority to revoke green cards, but we’re clearly into “who’s going to stop us?” territory.

Where we are: US permanent resident detained without charges, stripped of green cards status, detained at unknown location, wife and lawyer unable to communicate or even locate. Because he said things the president doesn't like.

I thought it would be nice to travel overseas this year but I don't think I can show my American face anywhere else for a while.

Back in the 90s when I used AOL, Wired magazine had a forum. One day a new user arrived and said she was married to Elwood Edwards, who was the voice that said “You’ve Got Mail!”. So we suggested a bunch of other things he should record in that voice— “You want fries with that?”, “You’ve got credit card debt!”, etc. He recorded them!
