@Gargron Never joined. I only joined Google+ because it basically came with the email. When it folded, I went to Twitter. When Elon wiped his ass with Twitter, I came here (and spent a few months on Gab before I got bounced).

@ChrisMayLA6 @pluralistic I got an earlier version Sony Discman and used it for almost a decade until the spindle motor burned out. Then I replaced the spindle motor and laser and used it for another 5 years. It was heavy, had a hard metal shell that was easy to disassemble (because we used to design things *for servicing). Later versions were plastic, cheaply made, quicker to break, harder to fix - disposable. Sony's rep collapsed, as did many technician jobs. And the e-waste did flow.

The Democrat response of telling people the economy is actually good (based on the status of rich people's money, not the status of poor people's budgets) was not a great approach. You either make regular people's lives materially better or you lose to conmen promising to make people's lives materially better.

I seriously hope y'all feel it every time a migrant child gets abused by this state.

@JuliusGoat Trump is not a Nazi. Despite his Nazi rhetoric and Nazi aspirations and his admiration for Hitler, he's too friendly with certain Jews and the state of Israel for full Nazi buy-in. I mean they're definitely voting for him, but they're not super thrilled about it. And of course lightly antisemitic white supremacists love him.
