In every successive Israeli attack on #Palestinian communities, the pattern has been the same: Israel accuses the #Palestinians of using human shields, international organizations, and human rights groups investigate, and the investigations reveal that the party systematically using human shields is not #Palestine, but rather #Israel.

Indeed, the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem has documented the repeated use by Israel of human shields at least since 1967. An Israeli soldier disclosed in a Haaretz op-ed that the military's practice of using human shields in Gaza is far more common than acknowledged and that a recent investigation was intended to create the false impression that such incidents are infrequent.

Living in a police state seems to be the fitting term for a situation in which the armed police of the state executive intimidates not only the audience but the international visitor who represents the United Nations that were founded after WW2 to make it impossible that such kinds of authoritarian repression like in Nazi #Germany would ever happen again.
