It would be excusable in some sense if there were only a hierarchy of material wealth, but immaterial wealth is power and power is just when a small number of people feel nice at the expense of others. Nothing is built or maintained by immaterial wealth. It is something that lives in people's heads.

I don't even need to care whether hierarchy, racism, and sexism are intrinsically bad at this point. They increase the human carbon and ecological footprint by many orders of magnitude, turning finite resources into the world's most expensive abstract feeling.

@AnarchoNinaWrites The nicest throughline is probably to destroy the fascists in a swift and legible way that allows libs to pretend they have just been replaced. I've concluded that the main reason libs are hostile to anarchism/leftism is because they don't know how to live under it. Create some sort of dummy apparatus that they can forward their complaints to and make sure it kills someone periodically and they'll fall into their normal habits but with respect to sanity.

So I guess the idea of the cybertruck bomber was that the image of a blown up cybertruck in front of Trump tower would conjure images of Elon Musk and Donald Trump under attack. This seems unreasonable, but also I wasn't the intended target audience, and I'm not sure how insane the intended target audience actually is.

I'm just going to do the 20 books a day challenge all at once, because I don't like the idea of stretching it out. These books aren't necessarily books that factor into my worldview today, and I'm also going to briefly explain what each meant and means to me, which is also a violation of the rules, but I don't really understand the point of posting them without a description of their significance.

By default, AI development is going to cause something worse than death to happen to enormous numbers of conscious beings. That something will then keep happening until the stars burn out. Even the most benign of existing power structures and institutions cannot prevent this. They simply don't have the right priorities, and in fact cannot have the right priorities. This issue occupies all of my attention at the moment. I would like to find common ground, express deeper commitments, or establish myself in factually grounded theory, but I don't think the future depends on me doing any of those things in the same way it depends on me taking strong prefigurative action. The good news is I don't have to make a mess to do this. The bad news is that the mess is coming. Prepare to live at least the remainder of the century within the winepress of the wrath of god.

No, because the next worst company is like 10% less bad. So even if the second worst company were optimal capitalist triage decision makers, the difference in deaths are still murder.
