Trump is first and foremost a crime boss. Crypto is perfectly suited for stripping national assets and moving money surreptitiously. Privatizing SS is another opportunity for billionaires to loot the Treasury.

It's all about facilitating crime. Trump wants government to be run like a business: the business of organized crime.

The work hustle culture in the US is massively harmful to men's mental health, not to mention their ability to do effective parenting. Are we fixing this? No, we are just subjecting women to the same toxic culture.

A thought experiment:

It's been nearly a century since the beginning of the New Deal. Arguably it was first (and only) major intervention to contain the worst aspects of unrestrained capital. Ultimately it failed. If you could magically return to any time in the past 90 years, could you *realistically* hope to avert fascism?

Centrists have cynically hijacked "populism" as a synonym for Trumpism. We really need a vigorous defense of left-populism as the new template to replace the failed market fundamentalism that has handcuffed the Democratic Party.
