I now confront my sentimental attachment to old bedding. Not necessarily hand made patchworks, but things from my natal household, or that of my mother. Blankets, bedspreads, of cotton or wool. Things that held memories for my grandfather, then my mother, and now me.

This is to say to the vibrant #Trans community and allies here on Mastodon that there is a principled ally (he left a secure gig at the Infinite Monkey Cage!) who has been trying to make a go of it without the algo focus of other places.
