Recently, a friend gave me a gift that she had been working on for almost a year. It was initially a gift for my 40th, but it took longer to make than she anticipated (BIG UNDERSTATEMENT).

It is - I cannot stress this enough - the coolest and most incredible thing I have ever owned, and I am moved beyond words that someone would put the time in to create something this awesome. For me (!!!).

@Mactonex yeah I think this is close to how I feel. Fetishising *acts*, makes sense. Fetishising *people* for the way they exist? Nope.

One of the things that probably annoys me more than the average person is when people respond to porn with silly little comments designed to undermine the hotness of something and turn it into a joke.

Like yes, I get it, you are ashamed of sex and think it is somehow more acceptable if you show your mates you find it funny. But actually... I'm not ashamed of what I do, and the people who wank to it probably aren't ashamed either, you just look like a tedious nob.

@xgranade yeah I think really good point re their mod decisions. Like... you have to trust their 'trust and safety' team if BlueSky is gonna feel safe and... some of their decisions lately seem like total dereliction of duty to protect trans users.

There are also occasional flutters of ‘omg can’t believe BlueSky might get ads! And algorithms! What is this... the bad place?!’

I mean... it’s the corporately-owned place. Make of that what you will.
