Is this it? Do you have to set "Digital Assistant App" -> "None"? Why can't Google just explain to me how to do it? Why can the tech industry never just give me an "Off" button? No don't answer the last of those questions, I know why
@obrien_kat Yes, as mentioned it's very likely that we may not get a true winner intil at least July 1st at the earliest, especially with vote by mail ballots coming in and the process. My guess it may take until after the July 4th weekend.
I would keep a close eye on the first round as it will set the tone and whether Zohran has a real chance. Hope for a good outcome.
Just finished watching this great video piece by John Oliver on his Last Week Tonight show on AI slop and gen AI altogether. It's sad that most companies big and small alike are embracing this BS.
@obrien_kat I didn't know there was a difference in countries. I do recall back in the day where previews were just 3-5 minutes which is not bad at all. I went to go see Barbie and Oppenheimer last year and it still wasn't that bad previews wise. The additional ad count is going to be annoying for sure.
I still go to theaters today, but once you come back to NYC, you should go to smaller ones like the excellent Film Forum (my fav since I have a memership) and the IFC Center among others.
So tomorrow is the day that the Dems are really going to jump the shark and elect as NYC mayor a man who resigned in disgrace as New York governor just a few years ago.
It also proves that no party truly cares about the state of the nation. I have been saying this for years and people are going to learn this the hard way tomorrow unless I am proven wrong (surely hope so).
@elfkin The company is all in for fascism (considering their and their CEO's donations to their campaign last year and the inaugurattion this) so not surprised really. :(
@mtechman This is why a privacy law for the digital age is badly needed but it's likely going to take another generation (20-25 years at the earliest) before it actually happens if not at all.
Yesterday, The main #Mastodon instance (mastodon.social and mastodon.online) rolled out a new Terms of Service with lots of controversial changes, including forced arbitration, IP rights detainment, and other instances would be forced to follow these terms. More info here:
