@ezlin @yo_bj @Vivaldi Sadly, it doesn't look like it. Sure they'll support them for now but can't see them support MV2 once Chromium officlally removes it next year.

@jacobrealo Sounds promising that those who played LiS 1 such as myself will feel more at home and I'm not surprised that Max decides to go into the photography profession.
I'm planning to play this on PC so I feel the PC and the Xbox variations are similar probably.
This is a very interesting read (from 2013) on how TCP/IP became the universal protocol for computer networking and at one point, it was to be the OSI Model.
Although the FTC has finalized their "click-to-cancel" rule, I expect lawsuits being filed (mostly by the NYT, Amazon among others) since we're in a post-Chevron world after all sad to say. https://www.theverge.com/2024/10/16/24271649/ftc-click-to-cancel-subscriptions-final-rule
@Streakmachine The N64 is far from the first to attempt that so you're right.
@nazokiyoubinbou @internetarchive @brewsterkahle Indeed, and what a truly sad day it would be if/when the Internet Archive shuts down (you and I know what they're going through not only here now but in the courtrooms as well) so we need to enjoy and appreciate them while we still have them here.
@Gurre @GottaLaff Yes they are valid, I'm sad to say.
@jacobrealo Tell me some spoiler free thoughts once you do since I need to know how is the gameplay and stuff.
@emilion Both are total disasters (their VPN for example is a imitation of Mullvad VPN and no one wants to get a US-based jurisdiction VPN when they can just get the real thing which is in the EU) and we know what Pocket has become as you just answered you own question.
All I can say at this point is to fully prepare for a post-Mozilla future in the coming years and start supporting developing browsing engine alternatives now. Maybe there's a light at the end of the tunnel, who knows.
@jalefkowit @ionizedgirl In other words (at least to me), it's a non-apology of a apology post as he's just a typical billionaire refusing to take responsibility as both a person and a businessman.
I knew this was coming after his transphobic tirade back in February seen a a major warning sign.
So #Intel and #AMD are working on future #x86 and #x64 development more closely, so its death is a bit premature and exaggerated.
@ionizedgirl @jalefkowit Not to mention that it's archived in a lot of places so taking it down really means nothing.
@emilion The problem with Mozilla is that like I said endless times before, they had at least a decade (ten full years) to come up with a identity and what their future would look like and they have flopped big time over the years.
Not to mention that they have basically pissed off a LOT of developers, consumers, and users alike in the past ten years. Look at FirefoxOS failure, WebExtensions and the Photon UI as prime examples and their disastrous purchases over the years.
@Daojoan Exactly. At this point I would love to be wrong and voters do the right thing.
BBS inventor Ward Christensen has passed on.
This totlly sucks and anyone who uses or heard of #BBS and online commuinties should know that it's a part of their lives so this really hurts. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2024/10/ward-christensen-bbs-inventor-and-architect-of-our-online-age-dies-at-age-78/
@duplicake @vkc As you know, there's lots of industries that would love to be the one that would shut it down and I hope they can survive and hold on.
I would rather wait until they put out a postmortem explanation blog post into what really happened and they can excess the damage. We still don't know if it's really safe right now and it could take weeks to sort out.
@geerlingguy @vkc We have to enjoy them while we still can since sadly, they're on borrowed time right now as they face lots of challenges including this one and a second major lawsuit from the record labels after losing the publishers case.
What we really need is to find ways to archive ourselves and/or rely on other underground options since there's a good chance they'll shut down in the near future and what a sad day it would be.
Happy 30th birthday to #Netscape!
One of the co-founders in @jwz with some good thoughts on the milestone.

It's #HackThePlanet Day!
Shoutout to @vkc as she makes very cool content especially that dot matrix printer that I still like so much. Still love the sounds they make!
