    @alex that's what I planned, was just curious what steps I would need to take. Doing some reading now amd from my understanding I should be able to clone the Yunohost Pleroma package and adapt a few things. We'll see how it goes.

    @alex is this something that would be difficult to finish? What would need to be changed after forking? Is there any way "normal' people can help with this?

    @alex do you plan to package Rebased & Soapbox for Yunohost for us less tech savy folks? I bought a be domain that I plan on switching to soon and stick with Yunhost because every time I host more than ome thing I break stuff. Yunohost has Fedi backends, Nextcloud amd a few other things I use and make it dead simple. I could go with Akkoma as a backend since vanilla Pleroma seems to be stalled. I'm not familiar with it tho.

    @msilvya you'll find that a lot of devs working on Fediverse projects have issues with Alexs beliefs and opinions. You'll also find that those same beliefs and opinions are far more sane compared to those of the people who have problems with him. Also (based on my experience alone) Alex is always quick to answer any question or try to help solve any issues you may have.

    @alex is there a way to make the Local and Fediverse timelines more easily accessible when using mobile? I feel like a lot of people would be signing up via their phones and not know to open the side menu to access those timelines.

    I remember older versions having tabs across the top of the timeline to switch between them. Maybe implement a quick walkthrough/tutorial or something the first time a new user logs in? Just throwing ideas out. A lot of people I try converting use Facebook and are clueless when signing in, so I figure a quick explainer might help retain them.

    @hj I just think personal opinions are best left out of development, it takes choices away from end users. The issue Alex opened should have been between backend and frontend compatibility. Not a "I don't like your views, sorry" situation. Regardless, I should have never switched to an alpha backend anyways. At least not dor my main account.

    PleromaFE is hideous anyways, so I don't blame anybody not contributing to it. I'd rather see the default FE replaced. Sorry about your experience. All of my interactions with him have been nothing but pleasant and helpful, so that's what I base my opinion of him on. Most of the hate towards him that I see, seem to be because of not acknowledging trans women as truly being women, etc. being attacked for that view and responding. I don't see everything behind the scenes tho and don't really care anyways. I enjoy his work.

    I prefer Soapbox as a frontend but they are unwilling to work with @alex to get things working due to not agreeing with his views on particular subjects. Could probably say the same with Pleroma devs but at least things are working again.

    @postmarketOS updated today and it's nice to finally have #phosh gestures. I can't help but notice the extra black padding at the top of the desktop below the status bar. This is present on other distros as well. Why is this and is there a fix for it?
