When Elon misbehaves, Fedi registrations rise. Nothing else really moves the meter.

People have no idea what the Fediverse is and nobody new understands the meaning of "Mastodon" other than elephants.

My interaction in the Fediverse has been sad. I was forced back to Facebook 7 days ago by Apple Music, and I have 1000% more interaction there in six days than I have had here in the Fedi the last year. That's a problem. I pay to be here. Facebook is free (you know what I mean).

That's an important take on the verifiability of AI.

I'm not terribly concerned about getting back a wrong answer from, say, ChatGPT because I don't trust Google or MSFT to offer me answers that I don't verify on my own.

When you're taking information from multiple sources -- as AI is want to do -- it's the same sort of thing we do. How do we come to know things? How do we properly credit what we've come to internally colonize as our own thought and view on the world?
