@munchkinstein yes, I fought a lot of the “I want a real twitter substitute” people, people who essentially wanted twitter as it was *just* before Elon bought it. I enjoyed Bluesky as the place that had bullied Jack Dorsey off immediately, and had a huge trans community that we fairly free from transphobia

We’re in the process of moving house, to what will hopefully be the last rental property we ever live in, our moving date is supposed to be Tuesday, but the lettings hub website is still on stage 3 of 8, so looks like we have to stay here for another week. We’re in the middle of packing and discovering just how much of our stuff has been destroyed because of the damp in this hous 😩

If you’ve liked the X-Men cartoon or movies and would like to read the comics but don’t know where to start, they’ve just finished a years long arc and have started a new one, there are several titles that are just starting, and I highly recommend Gail Simone’s Uncanny X-Men #1 and Jed McKay’s X-Men #1 which are out now

I can understand why some men got so angry at the Barbie movie, she undermines their whole worldview when she tells Ken “you are not the car that you drive, you are not the contents of your wallet” nope, that was Tyler Durden in Fight Club. No she says “you are not your girlfriend, you are not your house”. Both movies have the same message about toxic masculinity

@stavvers been thinking about it a lot and there are so many parallels, Project Mayhem is pretty much the same as the Barbies’ plan. I’m prepared to say if you liked Fight Club and didn’t like Barbie then you didn’t understand Fight Club

@PetraPhoenix thank you! Went to CAB today, they think it might be a retaliatory eviction as it happened a fortnight after we asked for repairs they weren’t prepared to make, so I’ve to have a chat with a lawyer Shelter and see if they can help
