As a white woman I don't see much racism on fedi. Of course I don't, I'm clearly white. That's white privilege.

Yes I'm disabled, I'm a woman and am disadvantaged by that but those disadvantages would be magnified if I were also black.

Do I believe black people who say they experience racism here? Well why the hell wouldn't I? How does it benefit them to lie about it?

If I see racism that I recognise (and I'm not great at that but am trying to be better) I will report and block.

Hmm, starting to wonder about some of my followers, so for the avoidance of doubt

Trans women are women and trans men are men.

I shall report and block anyone who starts a transphobic argument about this

My world fell apart at the weekend.

My brother and nephew died

There was a house fire. My brother went back in for his 4 year old son and died in the early hours of Sunday morning due to his injuries.

His son died today.

My brother leaves behind his wife and 3 teenage children.

I am broken.
I want to wake up from this nightmare.
It's just awful. So, so awful. The pain is overwhelming.

I just want my little brother and his beautiful boy back.

I don't understand the mentality of these people - I tend to err on the side of "don't intrude, and if you say something, be nice" when chatting to folks with any level of following. I always assume people have no idea who I am and am simply delighted if they reply. I am so easily pleased!

I think for me it'd be the completely unhinged nature of the comments that'd scare me. I'm glad I don't have to deal with that shit, and it's utter bollocks that you (or anyone else) does.
