@mike Usually when I say something to my wife in English she just rolls her eyes. But if I ask her a question in German she responds in English, but with the actual response. So I'll take the progress.

@codeHaiku @mike I like it. I've been trying to learn it for years and am finally taking it relatively seriously. I use both Busuu and Rosetta Stone. Rosetta does the immersion technique where they don't explain anything to you they just slowly introduce you to the language through word/picture association and Busuu breaks things down and gives the why behind everything. I find them somewhat complimentary, even though I started with Busuu before Rosetta.

Alright Fediverse, I'm kind of losing my mind with this.

The Macbook I brought home runs Linux fine, except the damn WiFi. I haven't had to deal with this in years and am rusty.

It's a broadcomm BCM4331 chip. I am at a loss, can anyone point me in a right direction on how to get the correct drivers installed in Fedora?

One thing I look forward to every Monday is the release of "The Games Letter". I generally don't spend a lot of my free time keeping up with video game news, as I'd rather spend my free time playing video games.

So having a weekly newsletter/website update that boils it all down into a digestable format is just great.

This morning I've been reflecting on how my Fosstodon account has evolved over the past few years, and it's become my central place for so many things.

It started off as a niche place where I could interact with other Open Source fans, and by now I'm able to follow news (even local news thanks to bots!), catch up on gaming stuff, and have conversations with people from all over the world about random topics.

It's the only social platform I actually want to use.

Phase one: see an article on Mastodon about coffee beans
Phase Two: go down a rabbit hole about home roasting coffee (something I've wanted to do for years)
Phase Three: order a coffee roasting appliance and some green beans...
