    @Pi_rat @mos_8502 Linux itself doesn't depend on glibc or coreutils directly, but Linux does also need GNU make, GNU binutils, GNU bison, GNU bash, GNU bc, GNU cipo, GNU tar, GNU awk and GNU GRUB and more to build.

    Meanwhile, none of those GNU packages particularly depend of Linux.

    @allison @phnt Weak licenses miss many of the problems that face software.

    Almost all weak licenses do not have a patent license for example.

    The GPLv3 is much juster than weak licenses, as it expressly states that you don't need to accept the license to run the software, while weak licenses often imply that you need to accept the license.

    @sally Ironically proprietary intel with integrated graphics or with a nvidia GPU (for nouveau).

    @phnt @allison As far as I am aware, ACPI S3 (suspend to RAM) is still implemented - EFI's just have a cursed configuration where S3 only happens for a few hours and then the device hibernates.
