    @RustyCrab if you stare at some pattern for a prolonged period of time (20-30 minutes) you will see a ghost image of it for a few days or even weeks. I thought this was academical until I burned the bayer dithering pattern into my retinas programming graphics in templeos. Then I did it two more times.

    I tried playing Control with umu-launcher, and it's actually much smoother than wine-ge on high settings. I'm getting an annoying graphics bug though: every so often a pixel turns black, then the blackness spreads out and covers the entire screen and I need to set volumetric lighting to medium to remove it - possibly a nan propagating through framebuffer effects and taa. idk if it's a proton issue.

    I have figured out how memory allocation is supposed to work in vulkan. It's not really explained in the tutorial I did, and the function looking for a correct memory type seems to be taken from the api documentation with minimal modifications. vkguide.dev doesn't explain memory allocation at all and recommends using the vulkan memory allocator library instead.
