About half way through The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty. It's a swashbuckling tale of a 13th Century Arabian pirate, complete with magic, sea monsters, demons, betrayal, etc. It works well in #audiobook format and I am enjoying it so far even though the transitions in the story are sometimes clunky. #FridayReads #Books #Bookstodon #Fiction #Adventure @bookstodon

@WarnerCrocker I was just debating with myself if false spring is a good thing or a bad thing. Sure, it's nice that we get to be comfortable outside for a few days at the end of February in #Chicago, but it's not normal and can't be good for the local flora and fauna. They're going to be in for a shock when the weather reverts back to normal.

I think it's safe to say that over the past few years #EmilyStJohnMandel has easily become one of my favorite authors, and I am very excited to pick up Sea of Tranquility soon. Before I do, I feel I should re-read some of her backlist since it seems Station Eleven, Glass Hotel, and SoT are somewhat interconnected.
