I mean the contingency plan has existed for a long time, I used to work on a project for the Office of the President so I knew about it, it's a way for the government to continue during a full blown crisis.

It's what the whole "bunker" thing is about, too. That's just part of the presidency. How Trump will abuse that, who knows.

I voted third party for a long time, on the theory they also deserved to be in the system. These days I vote for Dems because they're our only real chance against fascism right now. For the primaries I vote for progressive Dems.

UBI isn't leftist, it just makes sense since it's cheaper than anything else you can do for mental and physical health and well being, keeping people in housing and in school. Instead we spend more on cops, health programs, trying to police schools, food assistance, etc, etc....
