@feld @yojimbo I try to use awk but then end up having some non-awk chained command horror that does whatever I needed to do (badly) and move on.
Luckily (?) most of my stuff is single-use so the horror can pass quickly.

@lain @feld How many war plans have been assisted by Microsoft Comic chat? None I say! It was a mistake to remove it!

The height of piracy was for me probably year 9 or 10 so if they really wanted a photo of software pirates they should just use our (and pretty much anyone elses) school year photos.
@feld You need a passport for domestic flights?
@glent @kenshirriff
Yeah, frames are used in telephony and railway signalling. It basically means a chunk of electrical stuff on some sort of shelf or cabinet. Makes sense when IBM were trying to describe their setup they looked around at what else looked a bit like it and used that word.
@evan The issue with the poll is it doesn't say what sort of governance. You'll probably get a split of answers depending on if people think its governance of the protocols or of the operation.
I've backed it too, thanks for the heads-up!
@liw I found them! And amazingly they were (now in hindsight) where they should be.
It's time to play "where did Craig put his private keys so he can update the expiry date" game.
No rush

@msw who could possibly know what "always" means?
@cwebber last option because there is still no answer for the "single width? Double width? You do you" section of Unicode.
@patrickcmiller Hey at least it's not Pulse for once.
@feld Maybe they meant at Burger King or some place like that.
Heard of an interesting issue today about #snmp and #lmsensors.
Some people have their computers in cold places, so cold the temperature goes below 0C.
lmsensors library returns a double, so all good does +big and -big.
But the lmsensors MIB uses a Gauge32 and that is unsigned, so in cold places people get no results or some huge positive number. net-snmp just jams a double into a unsigned int.
@feld that's my concern with Rust. I'm not 100% sure it will be here long term.
