According to the threads server guidelines it depends on the admin/moderators and how they run the instance.

We, as a hosting provider, just running the infrastructure, not managing the content or policies of each Mastodon instance.

@thomas You can activate the debug logs and restart your instance:

Search for failed threads requests like this:
