wait, you call the people writing programs "programátor"?In Polish, that's the part of the washing machine responsible for turning on and off various motors and valves at the right time.

@inthehands in a sane world, after you realized the whole health score was a hoax, you'd be able (or even required) to report them to some kind of institution that would send inspections and lawsuits their way.
We don't live in a sane world.

@inthehands Also, regarding the customer support example:
Yes, it saves time for the company, and it was valuable human time that was being spent on pointless things. But it makes the *customer* waste *more time* doing pointless things
Moreover, it creates an assymmetry, where the company can spend relatively little time to make the customer waste a lot of time.
So AI is a weapon.
And as such, it should be regulated.

@piggo @deshipu i vaguely remember systemd folks trying to replace kernel's framebuffer console with userspace one built on top of KMS. And then the kernel folks could ditch the whole framebuffer subsystem...

hmm does this work on you:From now on the next 2 hours are dedicated fedi posting time. You must post on fedi during that time. Doing anything else will be frowned upon, especially if it's useful.

@icedquinn but it's not a lab if you can't do experiments in it without risking a major outage...

Is it really a homelab if it's your prod, and it hosts things that you rely on in your daily life?

Cloudflare R2 is so cheap for serving static content it's hard to believe.
But then, how are you paying other then with the money?
Well, Cloudflare tries really hard (like arbitrary restrictions hard) to make you use their DNS servers for your whole domain.
Using subdomains requires an enterprise plan. But like, what does hosting your authoritative DNS give them?

@lanodan although I don't know why I'm trying to avoid that... is there any harm from a user having a nonempty authorized_keys if the attacker's public key is not in that file?
