@inthehands I concede I must be underestimating this; it just seems like all the journos are the ones who have the human networks and infra. What does mgt have other than the biz registration, website, other overhead? Sure don't just burn it down, but ... why isn't their position stronger than say a classic factory workers union? @shansterable @inthehands @ProPublica the boycott was only a one-day effort. There is no contract yet and the guild is not recognized, the guild has not asked for any public action right now. A lot of ppl are saying they won't re-up their membership unless there's movement. I'm not a laborologist and I don't know if that would help or hurt things. (I also don't understand why the journos don't just all defect and make a worker-owned group instead)
