@NanoBookReview A lot of philosophers' ideas are internally contradictory, even those of the stauchest and most defiant rationalists. Mill wasn't the only philosopher to advance a sophisticated moral theory that could easily be used to show racism to be immoral, only to continue to be deeply and unabashedly racist; Kant was even worse in that regard. It's really fascinating.

@lain idk he's just this random guy that came in to the office unprompted and started doing other people's jobs way faster. turns out he beat kasparov at chess, did moderately well at jeopardy, and now he just gives free art, code, and text to anyone who asks. it's not always well made but he's really good at faking it to make it

Today I've started seeing something like this at the top of the feed when I click on one of the forum links on the sidebar from my Network page:

This appears to be the banner that would normally appear in the sidebar of a user page, but rendered as a post and set to view height for some reason. It is rather annoying, since I have to scroll down to see actual posts from the forum. Is this a result of some change that was applied recently? A configuration change on my end? Perhaps a bug in Friendica?
