@Melissabeartrix No. But I was rather clueless about various aspects of transness back then. It was in 2004 when I personally got to know a trans woman for the first time, and only then I learned about the German laws regarding transitions that were then still in place, and I was quite shocked.
I didn't know this post and now I think more people should see it. Especially people who draw and illustrate - because there are still too many pictures of unpractical hospital wheelchairs out there.
For most jigsaw puzzles, the best strategy is *not* to do the edges first, but to roughly sort the pieces by color and/or pattern and then start with one of those piles.
@MarilynPF@OhNoSheTwitnt My son, who's 5 and not yet aware of the pantriarchy, has already understood the importance of pockets. We changed the clothes of his rarely-played-with doll yesterday because he wanted her to sleep next to him, and his sole argument for his pant choice for her was "this one has pockets".
I wanted to know more and did a bit of research. What I found out (by just looking around on the internet), was that this man went on to work for a while at another private secondary school. And today, he still works as a teacher, at a public secondary school - still with teenage girls.
It took me a bit to come to a decision - I know that most of his former students would hate me for making this public, and he's now at the end of his work life anyway - but in the end, I contacted some journalists. One was willing to research that story, and I provided them with links and a list of people who they could talk to.
And then - nothing happened, because whoever the journalist approached would just say that the guy was a super great teacher.
There was this teacher at a private secondary school - he was very progressive and super popular with the students. He was my main teacher for some years, and I realized soon that he did not really care as much about us as he pretended he did, so I didn't trust him - but apparently, others were mostly unable to look behind that façade and fell for all the cheap tricks like "you are the only class I can do this ["special" group exercise] with".
When I learned much later, from a very trustworthy source, that he had been fired for having had several "sexual relationships" with underaged female students , I was not surprised (and in hindsight, there had been hints - but only hints, and I had no concrete suspicion back then).
So he had been "fired", but it was all swept under the rug. He never went to court, and from what I know now, it seems as if he got away with simply "promising" the principal to go into adult education then. I guess, they neither wanted a scancal, nor did they want to "destroy" this predator's life. ?
@Stoori Pf. This just depends a lot on what you mean my "everything of interest". ? Also, public transport is pretty good here. Don't talk bad about my city!!11!
Sometimes I'm looking at this, wondering if these signals are really only meant to be used by people on maritime vessels, and not just by everyone.
"I wish to communicate with you." "Keep clear of me; I am maneuvering with difficulty." "I need a hug." (well, they apparently misspelled it as 'tug') "I require assistance." "I am disabled; communicate with me." "Keep clear of me; I am engaged in pair trawling." (which is obviously slang for "don't flirt with me; I'm in a monogamous relationship".) "You are running into danger."
@snowchess No no, I said it around 9:40 pm or so. We have this "tradition" that we bring the kid to bed, but wake him up again shortly before midnight. It's 1:16 now, he's awake and is having a good time. ^ ^
Hi! I'm Kaos from Berlin, Germany. Among other things, I'm interested in genealogy and history and I love the ancient board game Go. I have ADHD and Autism, and I am a white, polyam, pansexual, genderfluid enby, and a mom. Most of the time, I pass as a straight cis-woman. I often try to pass as neurotypical as well, but I can't make it work. ^ ^[Avatar shows a donkey in the woods.]
