@NanoBookReview A lot of philosophers' ideas are internally contradictory, even those of the stauchest and most defiant rationalists. Mill wasn't the only philosopher to advance a sophisticated moral theory that could easily be used to show racism to be immoral, only to continue to be deeply and unabashedly racist; Kant was even worse in that regard. It's really fascinating.
