AuthorI just realized that I hear Japanese much better than I did 15 years ago, although I gave up on studying it back then. At the time, I made a note of Shogo Hamada's "America" that I heard at Japan-a-Radio, a weeb Internet radio "station". Although I was at the peak of my formal education, I could only tell that the lyrics had something to do with American Dream (w). So, 15 years later Amazon added the track to their library, I bought it, and I understand everything. Which is actually a curse as it turned out.
Guys, I'm going to try to explain how amazing this is and I never was too good at it. But basically it's one of these bait and switch works by the crafty Japanese authors where you come in for the pr0n and stay for the story. I cannot put it down, and I really want to know what happens!
To begin with, the world with dominating women is crafted with a greater fidelity than one of Tough Life of Mobu Chara. The hero has a kind and mostly upstanding personality like the MC of Isekai Walking. But he's in less than ideal circumstances and he shows weakness like in that one where the magical nuke went off, I forgot the name. Actually, there too, the each next woman captivates the attention of the fine young man, just like it happens in the real life. But they have star-crossed lovers like in Gundam (or in Shakespeare www). There's also gourmet manga aspect, and the Minecraft manga that's better than the Minecraft Isekai ("Gochujin-sama Survival"). And as I mentioned, all the sex is front-loaded.
The chests are a little too large at times, but this is modernity for you. Even the best artists cannot buckle powerful trends.
@Elliptica@galena@coolboymew@noyoushutthefuckupdad Isekai in general is extremely formulaic about the inventions they bring out: water pump, skin products. Dr.Stone at least has the variety. It pays for it with a loss of the "magical realism" aka fidelity. One other work that took an interesting middle ground was "Sengoku Komachi Kuro-tan"[1]. It had all kinds of low-tech equipment to grow rice, which only took knowledge and absolutely was plausible. Frankly it was shocking that it took until 19th century to invent some of it.
