Oddly, that's not quite as bizarre or unique as you might think.
I can think of white (former) friends who can still quote Public Enemy or Boogie Down Productions lyrics from 40 years ago, but want Nigel Farage to bring in a DOGE-like organisation when he takes over as PM of the UK, who actively want to deport all immigrants, and remove all LGBTQIA rights.
They also see Islam as pure evil, ignoring the fact that most of their favourite rappers from back then belonged to various Islam-derived faiths.

I've just found a YouTube clip from one of my fave comedians, with a piece that seems rather aposite, given the current political climate in the US.

The numbers bring bandied about are far more than Twitter/X ever paid in UK tax in their entire history, or more than declared revenue over any of the last few year.
And no one else wonders how they can possibly do this?

I work for a UK supermarket (not that one), on the fruit and veg department, and Scottish produce usually (but not always) has the St Andrews flag.
Occasionally, Welsh produce has the dragon, but English and (rarely) Ulster produce has the Union Flag.
What bothers me more is the amount of Israeli produce we get, mostly avocado's and potatoes.

Surely it was Labour who collaborated with the Tories against the SNP!
I'm at the stage where I want the SNP to put up Parliamentary candidates in seats in Northern England, because they are now the only viable opposition to the Tories ( both blue AND red!)

Too late for that - there are already quite a few that defederated long ago, mostly to avoid people like you.
There are even forks of Mastodon that don't federate by default, again, mostly to avoid bigoted, abusive folk such as yourself.
The masto.art admins are doing what they can to provide a safe space for their users, many of whom are from marginalised and/or abused communities - they must be doing something right if you are so pissed off about it.
