if someone reinstalled fedi server software on the same domain hosting single-user instance, and therefore those who were following them now had wrong keys, how can an admin on a mastodon server expire/refresh those keys for that specific domain?

on gts this is possible with "expire keys" for a specific domain.

(please don't respond about how reuse of domain shouldn't be done in the first place, this is not the question i'm asking)

"Over years, I have made several improvements... daily backups and media files served via CDN. While increasing the costs on my end, I could maintain the prices and old plan limits. Some limits on old plans were, in fact, not even enforced, as the influx of new subscribers was enough to balance the extra cost of older ones. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case, and I had to change the limits on old plans to match the new ones."

@kawaiipunk they explained it very well. i think they care quite a lot and are friendliest and supportive as few. the price rise hasn't much to do with recession or inflation but unrealistic old plans and how resources were being assessed.

@kawaiipunk they offered help with migration or even extend the transition/upgrade period.

Extremely happy about this huge update to
#BeYourOwnPlatform site dedicated to artists' digital autonomy. There's a lot more to be done, reorganize content into a better form, but this marks a big milestone. It's now in at least decent form.

I have added a lot from my presentations from last year, but now I also have more ideas how to shape this further.

i think this is so important to many of us working within arts: that our sweat and tears (our work that we love doing by itself) are connected to a shared experience by listeners - that an act of listening (watching, looking, seeing, immersing-in..) is a foregrounded experience, which is then shared (feeding -forward or -back). receiving a response on an album means something completely different then a metric of amount of listens or purchases.

so in the context of above thoughts (and taking into account that by buying a digital album on a fair platform brings much needed coins for bills), you can bring so much light into artist life by taking a minute or more to write them what experience _their work_ brought into _your life_.

i feel that is uncomparable to any metric (number of stream, downloads, views, followers)

since so many artists most of the time have difficulty promoting themselves but it's easier for them to promote other artists.... maybe we need to band together and start some kind of self-organized artist-run pr/marketing grass-roots agency/coop where we switch those roles for each other?
