Heads up: royalty rates for indie titles on amazon have been changed down to 35% from 70%

Apparently they can be switched back, but you have to do it manually, and keep your eye on that.

Amazon is not a partner you can trust.

Please understand: these fuckers have been scrapping content, including copyrighted, clearly marked, commercial, published content, not 'just' fanfiction--titles from @CourtneyMilan from @CathyPegau from @jodywallace AmyJoCousins and many others; there are close to 20 thousand titles they've been scrapping for the past eight years or so.

@whetstone I would suggest, if you can find the post, to copy the link (it's also an option when you click on the three dots at the bottom right), then send the link in a private message to mom with an explanation.

@whetstone Not dense at all, it takes some time to get used to how things work here.

They're good about keeping an eye out in case blocking an instance for all of us seems reasonable/necessary. (sending them the link to the offensive post via a private @ works for this purpose)

@whetstone You should be able to report the post by clicking on the three dots on the bottom right; one of the choices is "report". Reports go directly to each server admins, automatically.

@whetstone @mel_thegreat If the "mores of the time" were universally accepted in the past, they would still be the mores today; change happens because there have always been people who've known what's wrong, and who've worked to create enough community consensus to move institutions/the law.
