@liztai I watched 2 episodes, I think, but IMO, the plot just kept dragging. So I stopped and returned to Riverside Code at Qingming Festival.

The story of the #Cdrama I'm currently watching has been inspired by a handscroll painting from the 11th century. How awesome is that?
"Along the River During the Qingming Festival" shows a series of scenes of a bustling town (Bianjing) with people going about their daily lives. One such scene shows a large cargo ship about to pass underneath a bridge - only the crew has forgotten to put down the mast and is now frantically trying to rectify that before the ship crashes into the bridge.

This scene is recreated in episode 1 of the drama and forms the centre of an unfolding mystery. It's fascinating to see how faithfully the production team has recreated the scene from the scroll and how the scroll continues to be referenced throughout the drama via smaller vignettes (e.g. a barber with a client).
The name of the drama is Riverside Code at Qingming Festival.
