@Gargron I regularly get into this mode of the web user interface. With no way to exit, except refreshing the whole page. Maybe somebody should take a look at that from UX point if view… 🤔

Actually I don’t even know what the function is supposed to do. It happens when I’m reading messages, not trying to upload anything at all.

I already can’t enter an alt-text (OK button of the bottom of the screen and can’t scroll or zoom it back on) and now the mute-dialogue has gotten the same treatment… 😠

I would like to actually use the user interface. #please

@dgar I’ve encountered one of these (in Germany I think) and they are bloody awkward to use. Only doable at the sides.

And on top of that they are dangerous when there is snow or ice. Or when you are drunk or unstable on your feet for other reasons. #baddesign

@Gargron My setting for showing unclipped images was lost when you guys did that.

@Gargron @arstechnica Verification remains very tricky to get working. Eventually it happened for our @okaphone account. But right now I'm struggling with this account.

The back link has been in place for about a day (before I tried). I've been clearing caches, logging out and in, modifying my setting in various ways, changing the URL in minor ways, waiting... but sofar no luck.

Maybe you guys should do some testing on this important functionality and make it a bit more reliable. 🤔
