I vote Democratic (I'm not registered, but I vote pretty much party-line and have done so for decades). I know a *lot* of Democratic voters personally. I *follow* a lot of influential Democratic people on the interwebs.

And based on all of that, Trump going after Clinton for his supposed ties to Epstein is quite possibly the *most* weaksauce threat he could have come up with, because every Democrat is pretty much like, "Yeah, he's probably guilty too. Go for it."

Is it just me or are people suddenly growing a pair and standing up to Donald Trump this week? Did the image of the dude in an inflatable frog costume finally flip a switch in everyone all at once? Did the absurd imagery of the frog standing up to ICE finally convince everyone that the Emperor did not, in fact, wear any clothes?

@Mrfunkedude Yeah, as much as I'd like to see Peertube be a solid choice for this type of situation, the biggest problem is you have to pay for your infrastructure. Commercial platforms get away with providing their services for "free" with the help of advertising revenue.

The attack on our elected officials #Minnesota that resulted in the assassination of one of our representatives is clearly a targeted attack to coincide with the #NoKings protests scheduled to occur across the state today.

We're headed to the Saint Paul march today and we won't be intimidated.

@ChrisWere @The_Icarian Lots of drafted servicemen died in that war. They didn't have Trump's privilege of claiming a made-up medical condition to get out of the draft.

Trying to claim that you were simply criticizing the Vietnam War is disingenuous at best and displays profound ignorance of the sacrifices many of an entire generation of American men and women had to make. You can claim that the War was unjust (it was), but praising Trump in the same breath is beyond tone-deaf.

I don't know if a recent update broke things on #PeerTube but it looks like my markdown for my support pop-up window isn't working.for any of my channels. I narrowed it down to the image not loading but it's only emerged as a problem in the past few weeks since I did check it a couple of months ago. Did PeerTube decide to no longer render image links in markdown anymore?

For the past month and a half I've had to wear my "backup" sunglasses when driving. I was over at my in-laws' house and I figured I left the my good ones there. The backups aren't bad, but they aren't polarized lenses so they weren't quite as good for cutting glare.

We got over to the in-laws again today and asked if they'd seen my sunglasses and they were like, nope! I was confused until I reached into a forgotten pocket in my travel bag and... Yup I had them the entire time 😅

I'd like to make the following observation. Yesterday's Oval Office press briefing with Elon Musk was not a projection of strength. They are getting defensive. They know a lot of people are pissed at them and the walls are closing in.

I'm saying this because right now I'm seeing a lot of doomerism permeate the online discourse. This is not all inevitable. Keep fighting because whatever we doing, is getting to them. And it shows.
