One thing I am looking for... It was rumoured that we would be able to choose a setting where those posts we have in our notifications, especially those from people we have followed with the notification bell on, would be sifted out of our home feed.

Having touch-typed since I was 17 (a "couple" of years ago), I actually prefer using the shortcode instead of stopping to click on the emoji and find the icon.

Can you tell me what on earth is going on with these Rate Limited lines?

I had opened my tab - not even clicked on anything in the page and I get this black line about 6-7 times. I have had it covering the whole left (input) column at times, even though I am answering maybe my second post in hours.

Incredibly irritating. Sometimes it even starts up while I am in the middle of playing something on my tab and haven't touched the computer in over 30 minutes! 😮

This is on the web interface. Any post given as a URL will open in a new (not-logged-in) window.

It will open it in another window, where, for some weird reason, you aren't logged into the Fediverse, so you can't like or comment anything - IF there is a link. I think I have seen that a couple of times, but it is not the rule.

Is it possible yet to move your whole account?

I won't move again until it is and I find it frustrating when I see "new" accounts where I may be interested in following, but nothing shows up about them because they moved recently and, sadly, haven't written (another) intro.

On the web interface, you can follow a hashtag if you click on it and then click an icon in the next picture.

BUT you can not filter it by clicking on an icon! And THAT sucks!

Often, it is hashtags like caturday that I am seeing so much of, I want to ignore them everywhere.

The function you showed me here is for unfollowing something I am following. That works on the web too.

What I would like is an ignore icon next to the follow icon, so I don't have to copy the hashtag and open my lists to add it to my ignore list.

Something I really miss in the online version is the ability to mute hashtags as easily as I can now follow them. It would just take another icon to click on at the top when I have clicked on and gotten a hashtag list.
Does Tusky do that?

Om DRM er så jævlig og absolutt alle programmer/sider med DRM er fullstendig uetiske, så forslår jeg du finner en bedre løsning.

Og hva norske biblioteker angår, regner jeg med at grunnen til at de har et ganske begrenset utvalg filmer bl.a. har med deres etiske standpunkt å gjøre - nemlig at de ikke går med på ting som er overtramp på våre rettigheter. Uten å ha sjekket, regner jeg med at all statistikk er anonymisert.

Sa ikke at DRM hindrer piratkopiering. Det er funksjonaliteten i appen som hindrer det.

Bibliotekenes verdier står ikke alene. De har også plikt til å være redelige og etiske - og da må de gå med på de vilkårene rettighetsinnehavnerne stiller til de mediene bibliotekene ønsker å stille til rådighet for befolkningen. Om det innebærer at de må bruke DRM... hva så? De har en egen app, som jeg antar ikke snoker i undertøyskuffen min.

DRM fordi biblioteket skal ha oversikt over både fysisk og digitalt, hvor mange som låner hva osv. Det kan godt hende de avtalene de har med rettighetshavere går ut på betaling pr antall utlån, for eksempel.

De har også ansvar for at det de låner ut ikke blir piratkopiert (vanskeligere med fysisk enn med digitalt).

PS. Hvorfor så sint på bibliotekene? Hvorfor ikke Google, Apple, Microsoft osv.?

Det er en digital utvidelse av bibliotekenes låneordning. Den personen som låner filmen må ha lånekort fordi det er kun de med lånekort som er dekket av copyrightavtalen.

Om du låner fysisk eller digital film blir det likt. Du får filmen og ansvaret for den. Du kan spille av så mange ganger for så mange du vil (innen visse grenser - du er ikke kino), men når lånetiden er over, må filmen leveres tilbake - fysisk eller ved at du ikke har digital tilgang til den lengre.
