Our OpenCollective policy has always been that we will use our budget to enable contributors who would otherwise not be able to contribute. In one case, this meant that there was no publicly visible work, because the contributor did not manage to get it into a usable form, despite us helping them as much as possible. We recognize that we could be more transparent with our expense policy, and we will work on improving it.

If you have #dyslexia , do alternative fonts in apps help with the reading experience?

If yes, are Atkinson Hyperlegible or OpenDyslexic useful fonts to use with #Tusky? Are there others (that are freely redistributable).

2. Click the "mute" icon at the top right of the screen

That creates a filter that mutes that hashtag. You can adjust it further in Account preferences > Filters

@sandzwerg this has also been reported at https://github.com/tuskyapp/Tusky/issues/3596. Any additional information you can provide to help us reproduce and fix the problem would be very helpful.

Issues in beta 1 that will be fixed in beta 2

- Beta 1 loads a lot of notifications, which can be twice as slow. We're tuning that back down
- A potential crash when loading notifications
- Filter warnings will show the filter name, not the phrase

There's also an issue with Pixelfed notifications. However, this is not something the Tusky team can fix.

The first beta of #Tusky v22 is out, including:

- View trending hashtags
- Edit image descriptions and focus point
- "Refresh" menu for accessibility
- Support Mastodon v4 filters
- Show detailed differences when a post is edited
- Option to show post statistics in the timeline

Fixes including:

- Show player controls during audio playback
- Correct post length calculation
- Always publish image captions
