@jalict @CiaraNi Haha, yeah… and Mastodon is probably *the* social network where you'll get barraged by comments of IT hobbyists who somewhat miss that, for many people, a computer isn't more than a car or a toilet. It should just work, tinkering with it doesn't have to be exciting.

To share a buyer's guide for ready-to-use Linux devices would be more useful in most cases. Got an old one here, in case someone wants one (better open in desktop view though).

Can someone tell me if there's a fix for this weird phenomena with metal-case laptops (could be magnesium, dunno) where, when connected to a charger, the device got this weird "haptic humming" to it when touched? Not sure how to describe it… it doesn't seem like static electricity (which would be way worse, obviously), but like the metal vibrates if you move your skin over it. Only happens if it's connected to the charger, I noticed this with different devices & chargers.

I'd like a box where I go into, which first does a 30 second power-washing cycle followed by a another strong 30-60 second drying cycle. Optional body lotion spraying included.

I like the result of a good shower, but doing it is annoying.

@grillchen @kaia I do use Recyclingfabrik, a german / EU company. They're pretty reasonable with their pricing (22-24€ for rPLA and rPETG), and if you send in stuff you also get points based on usable weight that can be used for a discount. And really, if you can afford a printer you can also afford two closed bins for PLA and PETG…
By now pure PHA filament has also become affordable with ~25€ / 750g. Only true bioplastic that I know of.

Of course the best to do is to show resourceful humility.

@grillchen @kaia Worst thing is, those people now have direct access to devices that create environmentally damaging stuff around the clock for them for what feels like "free".

And you can be sure as hell nobody gives a shit about using PHA or other true bioplastics. Or hell, even collecting or even recycling the plastic trash and especially dust. "Sanding your model is easy" <--- whoever says something like this is a selfish idiot.

It sounds less awful given the "journalist" apparently was a nazi, the changed picture he took was originally against in remembrance of the holocaust and the context posted didn't sound like satire at all but more like news / the usual right-wing propaganda. In that case the verdict makes way more sense.
