@autumn64 @d1cor Oh, my bad. I didn't read it properly. You are correct about GNU/Linux not being a kernel. Calling GNU/Linux-libre a kernel is also wrong, as the kernel is called GNU Linux-libre.

@autumn64 It may seem like that but I assure you it is not really true. That happens to be the case because most GNU projects adhere to free software ideals, if they don't, you will find free software fans complaining about it.

Most popular free software projects nowadays market themselves as open source, which often makes a mockery of free software by making it about things about than freedoms (mostly to cater to corporate interests).

Look at the Linux kernel: non free blobs.
Who cares? GNU does, so you have: GNU Linux-libre.

No one else really cares, so why do you find it surprising that free software fans like GNU?

@ube @Suiseiseki @Ree Do you even know what the words you use mean? Ridiculous! Of course GNU Linux-libre has less contributors because they are a downstream project which only removes the non-free bits from Linux mainline. Why do you think they would need the same amount of people.

@redstarfish @Suiseiseki Even though GIMP is being provided git hosting by the gnome project, I doubt they are organisationally under them. I am very sure that it is a GNU project.

The whisper thing is free software though, and integrates well with Heliboard.

@redstarfish @unfa It is very deceptive as well, the website acts like its on f-droid (which might signal that's free software). But its actually not in the proper f-droid, and they ask you to add their own repository.
