Reminder: I typically don't follow those who don't use alt text with images or videos. I might make exceptions for those who mostly add alt text, but if the entire timeline is images without it, I either have to add the alt text, which takes time. It's easier not to share them. (I have a lot of friends who use screen readers, plus it's good form: Writing your own alt text lets you provide context that I won't otherwise get.)

Given what we've seen so far for the Orange Manace's second term, I think Biden should issue blanket pardons to everyone who worked in his administration, even if they've left: to Rs who supported Kamala; to any pollsters who said she would win; to the various DAs who brought charges against him; to Hunter Biden; to others I haven't thought of.

Let the AG figure out what to do now that he can't go after these folks.

@XauriEL I said that to someone once, who argued with me that needing glasses isn't a disability because it's accommodated.

I pointed out that their guide dog was an accommodation, but they were still blind. And that someone who used a wheelchair was accommodated but still needed it for mobility.

Glasses aren't any different, just (as you said) more accepted. The biggest difference is that no on ever touches someone's glasses, yet folks are constantly petting guide dogs or pushing wheelchairs.

I've put the quilt that my friend made me on the back of the couch.

First I folded it and put the dogs too low, so Rachel wouldn't get on the couch.

Then I put without folding it and the dogs were too low, so Rachel wouldn't get on the couch.

I finally folded it at the top and bottom. The black Lab is only visible from the jaw down, but the chocolate and yellow Labs are visible.

And now Rachel lays on the couch below the yellow Lab.

It's chemo time!

We got a room with a view this time, overlooking the Charles. It's a gorgeous sunny day, the sailboats are out, and it's very peaceful.

And I brought my chemo sweatshirt and the quilt that a friend made me, not realizing just how warm this room is. But I'm prepared!

After my nurse got my IV in place, she used purple wrapping tape to match my hair 😅

I've already gotten my anti-nausea meds (in my IV...it looks like a Pina Colada, which is weird...plus a couple of pills) and my extra 4mg of super steroid (last time, the instructions were wrong, so she gave me 12mg, and I already had 8mg that morning...that explains so much!). Hopefully, this means I'll get more than three hours of sleep tonight.

We had to arrive early because my left lung is accumulating fluid again and Dr Auchincloss needs to see more detail than that in an X-ray. My oncology nurse practicioner is going to message him because I really need a tap, and either Internal Radiation or oncology can do it.

(Last time I had one, it was through IR, and they required "nothing by mouth" after midnight. My appointment was for 3 pm and got pushed back, and the doctor who did the tap was upset that I hadn't been allowed to eat or drink all day.) So I'm in favor of oncology doing it.

And either she or I will talk to him about getting me a pleurex (chest tube I can drain at home), because monthly X-rays, CT scans, and taps is not a plan I want.

I'm still waiting on the chemo to be made. This time, they only weighed me once LOL

They're also going to give me a new drug to help keep my blood counts up. Nothing like taking a drug that will make your blood marrow hurt!

@Dave_Goldsmith He announced last week that he declined to get them so he couldn't be blamed for leaks.

Given that Biden decides if TFG gets them, I'm not sure that's the real story.

Woke just after 5 am, but unlike when I was in the hospital, I'd slept for almost 8 hours. It was glorious 🙂

Just about the first thing I do every morning is open the living room shades. Today, I got to see the gardens for the first time in over a week.

And...wow. Sunflowers over 6 feet tall. One potato is at least 3 feet tall. I can't tell if those really tall plants in the middle are beans or tomatoes from inside the house. So much growth in all the plants!

@mario She's so pretty! I have a short-haired black-on-black tiger about the same age, born to a feral mom.

She is our second cat, and our first (a gorgeous feral tuxedo) and she bonded. After he was gone (RIP, Sagwa 💜), she became more more friendly with people and with our dogs.

She now teases the two chocolate Labs so that they run after her, and she sleeps with the black Lab (also 11).
