    @bms48 @tchambers I am finding LinkedIn getting worse and worse. There is almost a cost of using it professionally now. It is crazy.
    The feed is great, but so annoying how it changes.
    I much prefer the fedi.
    I am thinking of booting up the AP LinkedIn instance that was created, tested and shut down due to the workload.

    I was at an event last night and some people spoke about how without Fb they wouldn't have been able to reconnect with their school friends.
    The #Networkeffect of the #socialgraph is so important to growth.

    I am wondering how the #Fediverse could incorporate that in order to get more users.

    I have been wondering about #B2C #businesses on the #fediverse... Should they start their own server? Or join servers relevant to their customers? Values? Eg a vegan food co could join #veganism.social
    I think journalists should join their own servers, verified masthead media should have their own servers...

    @Fragglemuppet you'll have to share what you go with... Personally I prefer no noises... Especially on toots. I have specific noises for urgent things... Like a jabber from a family member 😉

    @aral thanks, hugely useful article.
    Why is bluesky getting so much attention over the real fediverse then?

    @aral I don't understand why you need $£€30M to start a AT protocol (bluesky) server?
    Isn't it open source?
    Surely spinning up a small server, like the fediverse servers is therefore possible.
    Also I understood that fediverse (AP) and bluesky (AT) protocol can interact somehow?

    @werawelt @mastodonmigration @arda @aral I understand that AT protocol can also have different servers and rules for the servers... In that sense, why wouldn't people spin up a bsky server in the same fashion?
