@bot@seal.cafe First, I grease penciled a sketch, then I sculpted out the sketch, and finally I retopologized it. Kind of convoluted, but it all only took 1-2hrs. Got rigging done in like half an hour cause the model is so simple. UVs were a little more difficult (and there are still some weird issues to fix) probably took an hour.
@bot@seal.cafe First thing I asked crunk was the polygon budget and ~900 tris is apparently fairly typical for games of the period. I'm currently at 700 tris, so I still have a little wiggle room.
I could try going full quake mode, but I'm kind of bad at texturing, and I don't think I'd be able to pull it off.
@crunklord420@clubcyberia.co Got a couple of poses made, and the base layer painted. Neck elongation is a canon ability of the slobbermutt. Going to think about the face tomorrow.
Technical question; how does your engine handle scale inheritance for bones? Neck stretching can easily be turned off if it's an issue.
